SITV Trade Show at Place Bonaventure

On October 22nd, I had the opportunity to attend the SITV Trade Show at the Place Bonaventure. This was my first time attending such an event and with that being said, it was very overwhelming to start! The SITV Trade Show was held for 3 days, the Friday – Sunday and it is mainly a networking event that brings in people, both businesses and otherwise, from all over the world.

Marketing Vancouver to the Chinese

VANCOUVER PICTURE

For the term project of my 1st year marketing class, we were given the task to complete a detailed marketing plan for a Canadian city marketed towards a market of your choice. My group, consisting of Kyle Rooney, Paul St-Amour, Rayan Chamas, and myself were given the beautiful city of Vancouver to market to the world’s largest source market for international travel: the Chinese. Quebec City: 5 hours of history

On November 7th, I had the opportunity to travel to Quebec City as part of one of my classes for our term project. We spent the day discovering the history, tourist attractions, and culture of this unique and historic city. Quebec City was founded by the French explorer and navigator Samuel de Champlain in 1608. Since then, it has remained habitable despite the city being involved in numerous battles and is one of the oldest cities in Canada. Continue reading “Quebec City: 5 hours of history”

A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of returning to Quebec City after I hadn’t been there for eight years. Of course, I have to feature a staple of Quebec: Le Chateau Frontenac. After all, it is the most photographed hotel in the world. Continue reading “One hundred and twenty two years of elegance”

Great place to sleep and fly!

Courtyard Montreal Airport

I seem to have bad luck with airlines and connecting flights. About a year ago when I was on my way to Colorado with my dad, I had a connection with Air Canada passing through Montreal. Of course, the flight was delayed due to some kind of engine problems. After the delays went over 6 hours, Air Canada decided to book us in a hotel for the night. They chose the Courtyard Marriott Montreal Airport. Continue reading “Great place to sleep and fly!”

Comfort in the mountains

Even though this isn’t in Montreal, I couldn’t leave this one out. I’ve been a skier since I was 11 years old. When my dad came to me a few years ago and asked me if I wanted to go to Mont Tremblant, I couldn’t refuse. I had been to Whistler and Lake Louise, and Tremblant was definitely on my bucket list. My dad, being a Fairmont President’s Club member, picked the Fairmont Tremblant as his first choice in terms of where we would stay. After about a 2 hour drive from Ottawa, we had finally made it. When we pulled up to the hotel, it kind of reminded me of the hotel from The Shining. Continue reading “Comfort in the mountains”

Maximum chic, forever in Vogue.

Loews Hotel Vogue

Luxury. That’s the one word that comes into my head when I think of a Loews hotel. Having an uncle who is an executive for the company has it’s advantages. I’ve had the privilege of staying in numerous Loews properties for very discounted rates and they’ve become a standard for me. Hotel Vogue was no exception. Simplicity. Consistency. Excellency. Hilton.

Hilton Garden Inn Trudeau Airport

I had the pleasure of staying in this Hilton Garden Inn after driving 30 hours to finally move here from Winnipeg, Manitoba. It was a very long drive as you could imagine and while I got all my living arrangements figured out, my father and I decided to go for this hotel because of one word: Hilton.
